Dr. Ashleigh M. Fontenot attended University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in the Plan II Honors Program. She then attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas for her medical degree. She will be attending the University of Buffalo Medical Center in Buffalo, New York for her general surgery residency program starting June 2010.
Maegan Lindsey - went to Texas A & M University in College Station for her undergraduate studies. She received her JD degree from South Texas College of Law. Maegan has passed her state bar exam and is gainfully employed at the Chief Justice State Court of Appeals in Edinbugh, Texas.She's a Crosby ISD SUCCESS!!!
John Long - A report on John Long (class of 2002). John was the UIL Cross Examination Debate Champion is 2002 at Crosby. He graduated from the University of Texas in 2005 with a BS in Communications. He is graduating from Marquette Law School in Milwaukee in May 2009. John has an article published in the current Sports Lawyers Journal.
Philip Beck - Named to a preseason All-Western Athletic Conference team. Philip Beck all earned Preseason All-WAC from Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook.

Dustin Morris - Dustin is a 2006 graduate of Crosby High School and he attends Colorado State University In Fort Collins Co. Jeremy Freeman, a 2004 graduate of
Crosby High School
, recently competed in the USA World Power Lifting Championship in
France
. Jeremy’s success started at
Crosby High School
when he won the state championship during his senior year. After high school, Jeremy enrolled at
Sam Houston State University
where he won 1st place both at the
University of Texas
meet and the
Texas A & M University
meet. Jeremy then went on to win the NCAA National Power Lifting Championship in the 123-pound weight class. Shortly after his national title victory, Jeremy was then nominated for the USA World Team.
The World Team traveled to
France
to participate in world power lifting competition where Jeremy place 5th among 20 of the world’s strongest lifters. Jeremy give credit to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that he says, “gives him strength.”

JR Towles now plays for the Houston Astros as a catcher. JR is the son of Ms. Ellie Towles who is a substitute teacher at Newport Elementary. The district wishes to extend best wishes for JR and his career with the Astros. JR, thanks for making us proud!
Derion Bush passed the Board Exam and is now a Certified Pharmacy Technician. He is a 2007 graduate of Crosby High School who took the Pharmacy Tech Program in 11th and 12th grade at San Jacinto College. Derion is continuing his education with hopes of becoming a Pharmacist.
Matt Powers, a Crosby High School graduate, attended Sam Houston State University on a full athletic scholarship for football. Following graduation in December 2004 from SHSU with a marketing degree, he became a licensed mortgage consultant and went to work with a fellow college football teammate. They started a mortgage brokerage corporation called Custom Funding USA and now originate mortgage loans across Texas. Matt resides in Austin, but still keeps close ties with his roots in Crosby and would assist any CISD employee in securing a home loan.
Roxie Palacios She is doing AWESOME at the college level playing softball for OPSU and she

Brandt Owens- CHS Class of 2002 and past drum major of the Crosby High School Band, graduated from Texas A&M University in 2007 with a degree in Sociology, where he was the Head Drum Major for the Fightin’ Texas Aggie Band. Brandt is currently a police officer for the Houston Police Department and hopes to eventually use his helicopter training as a pilot for HPD. Brandt will also be obtaining his Master’s degree over the next few years.
Rebecca
Davenport is a 2001 Crosby High School graduate and a December
2005 graduate from Texas State University in San Marcos. After graduating
from Texas State University, she went to work at Walt Disney World
in Orlando, Florida as an assistant wedding coordinator. She remained
in that position for six months until she recently accepted an assignment
as the event's coordinator at Disney's Wide World of Sports. This
position allows her to assist with coordinating the Disney facilities
to host the Atlanta Brave's spring training every year and to do
the same for the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's football team.
Shelley (Davenport) Stevens - Valedictorian 1993 graduating
class CHS; HS
advanced placement math teacher at Vestavia Hills HS in Birmingham,
AL;
has sponsored the math team to several HS championships in competitions
from Hawaii to Boston.
Jennifer Davenport - 1996 CHS graduate; she worked
six years for Clear
Channel Communications in Austin as a program/promotions director
for
KISS-FM radio and the "Zone" radio station; on May
1, she took the job as
the manager of event marketing at the Toyota Center/Houston
Rockets/Houston Comets
Margaret
"Megan" Bradley - Class of 2001, has been accepted
to the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston. Megan graduated
from Texas State University in December, 2005 and will begin dental
school in August.
Jermaine Brown - Jermaine is a 1997 graduate of Crosby
High School, where he was noted for his exceptional athletic ability.
In 1999 he received certification in Culinary Arts from San Jacinto
College. He is the son of Mrs. Gloria Brown, who is a CISD employee.
His sister, Renee Brown, is also a graduate of Crosby High School.
Jermaine is married to Amber Como, an electrical engineer who graduated
from Crosby High School as well. They make their home in Arlington,
Texas. Jermaine has been employed as a chef for eight years, five
years with Brennan's and for the last three years by a five star
restaurant, The Abacus in Dallas as a Sous Chef.
Jacob Hord-CHS
Graduate- Jacob received his BS from Texas A&M. He
received his Doctorate from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.
He is a Doctor of Podiatric Medicine. He is doing a surgical residency
at Oakwood Annapolis Hospital in Wayne, MI.
